Injury Updates tell a Tale

More questions for the Steelers?
When Chad Brown walked into the Steelers locker room after being signed yesterday with the injury to starter Joey Porter he found some things hadn't changed. He played in Pittsburgh 10 years ago. Brown had his old defensive coordinator and his old jersey waiting for him.
"I was pleasantly surprised how familiar it seemed... No matter what you do, 10 years later, it's going to be different if you're away from it. I got some work to do, but I think my experience 10 years ago will allow me to help the team much sooner this year." About the latest aquisition Cowher told reporters that, "He knows this defense, and one thing I know he can do is line up as a third-down rusher."

I think he might be a step slower, what ya think?
He made the Pro Bowl team in 1998 and '99. while he played eight seasons with my Seattle Seahawks, they released him after the 2004 season with questions about his pass coverage. Lets see if Damon Huard can exploit that!

Also regards exploitation, starting cornerback Deshea Townsend is now injured as well. After they lost Ricardo Colclough for the season, that could force backup Bryant McFadden to start @RCB against the Kansas City Chiefs. Anthony Smith too, the 2nd round pick from Syracuse, likely will be the sixth defensive back on the field when the Steelers use their dime defense against the Chiefs.

Steelers return man Willie Reid also has been ruled out for the Chiefs' game, after suffering a sprained foot. Sunday, Najeh Davenport will return kickoffs with Santonio Holmes. Tynes might want to test him.

Huard though is undaunted, unchanged, he told the press this week: “Regardless, we’re facing the defending Super Bowl Champion who are 1-3 and whose backs are to the wall. We’re going to get their best shot, period. They’ve lost to three very good football teams, Jacksonville, Cincinnati and San Diego I think are all either or 3-1 or 4-0 so we know this is a good football team and we’re going into a hornet’s nest.”

He prepares well.
He needs help from the Defense this week.

Roll on Red Warriors!
