The Chiefs will get their first time in uniform tomorrow! Things are getting exciting, we will actually get to see how this team works together against an opponent. The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to bring the two teams together to break the doldrums of two a day workouts for each squad. The outcome wont really be important (Sure!) but to actually suit up and see how the chemistry of the team develops in a game type situation should be pretty interesting if not dramatic!
Larry will get his reps with the pigskin! Fantasy football leagues around the country are making him the premier their running back of the season. All he did was total 1,627 yards and 17 touchdowns in nine starts. That projects to an astounding 2,892 total yards and 30 scores over 16 starts. Coach Herm Edwards his biggest supporters and has plans to feature the running attack.
The defensive line will get their first test. It will strive to answer the questions that may tip the scales between a good football team and a great one for 2006. There will be alot of tinkering with that line this preseason. Coach wants them to get used to platooning fresh players in and out of the game as circumstances call for it but also to keep fresh legs in front of the oppostion. This is all designed to create a defense that will be that more difficult to plan for.
All in all this scrimmage will tell the coaches alot about what may be needed for positive change and, importantly, what they can count on!
