Hey! Its not All Sports, life is Good!

Saturday, after noting my discontent, my wife and counselor, convinced me to just put things down. Stop stressing. She said, "Lets go see the kids!"

Well we did. My grandchildren from both Nebraska and western Kansas got together for a special visit and created marvelous memories. The type that always make life worthwhile. My two small grandchildren never get to see one another. They were now to be babysat by two mysterious "old people," who appeared from somewhere- to love them insufferably! We got to babysit for them both while their respective parents attended the largest rodeo in Kansas, the Phillipsburg rodeo.

We were warned by the parents, just told to be patient with the children, that they no doubt the would be miserable from all the 110 degree heat. The children afterall were almost strangers. We were urged to just keep one year old Roy from persecuting and disrupting the young life of his lil' girl cousin... "Wren"! She had just turned 10 months old.

The two had a great time together though- sharing and comparing all 'strangers' of that age do. Speaking easily together, they used that impromptu language that was known only to them! Hey, we got the videos to prove it!

Yes. Those kids each do love to be spoiled for sure.

It is totally amazing now infants develop, you can almost see their little wheels turning in their minds, that little shine in their eyes while they make new discoveries daily. Their toothy grins become month by month more wide and wonderous.
Those two surely re-energized us, while thet were exhausting us!

Sometimes I swear though, life is all about the twinkle in those eyes!
A child is an Amazing thing!
Thank you Lord.
