Outgunned as we are...

Well we new it couldnt last long! Not after the recent drug arrests of "former" Trailblazers JR Rider in the bay area, then Shawn Kemp again in Houston. Not a whole lot of promising, positive reports about prospective hopefuls and their adjustment to the NBA. No. No.
We have to relive it again, when all too often press reports come out from the national media! This time it was in Sporting News at the pen of one Sean Deveney. Oh he had couched his attack with a proposed trade that he projected between the Knicks and our hometown club. He had Miles as well as Ha Seung-Jin all packed to go to the Empire State in exchange for Malik Rose. He threw in a line that said we were giving up on Ha anyway.
Okay we can live with our mistakes, we can often admit them... when pressured. The real pies in the face were his remarks a little further in the piece about Zach Randolph:

"I think the Blazers are going to give Randolph one last try. Why not, right? He has only been arrested three times (when he was 16, for possessing a stolen gun; in 2002 for underage drinking; and in 2003 for driving under the influence). He has broken the eyesocket of just one teammate with a punch. Oh, and he only was present for one lousy nightclub shooting, for which his brother was jailed. And a car registered in his name was pulled over for speeding at 3:15 am just once (last month).

Big deal. The guy has too good a jumper for that to matter. Randolph is only 25. I guess that means there is hope that he can get his act together.

Well, I think that like the tides, all things change. We can change too, we are! This IS a new day. However, there will be a transition period, count on it. Our sins will be in front of us for a time, no matter how far they are behind us. Just count it all as press. There is an old saying, all press is good press, if you can look at it in context. Amen for Context! Comments?
