The "Professional Basketball Club LLC" those big wigs from down Oklahoma way are serious! They say- they have NO intention- of moving the Sonics franchise to the midwest. This with everyone and their brother knowing the New Orleans team they "borrowed " ...heads back home for the 2007-8 season.
Now if these are related to the epic horse traders of old, those that literally ran business from Texas to North Dakota, you can take their word for it. Afterall their news conference was called from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum!
They are commited to keeping the Sonics in Seattle through next year. They have vowed to put a good faith effort into helping the team secure a new area or remodeling the existing facility. The group insists they "are serious business people ","with serious track records."
I dont know personally, I will keep an ear to the ground for the sound of bad apple falling, or the smell of any putrid oil money. If the price of tickets becomes unmanagable for the population though, I suspect they will move to graze on greener pastures over the years.
