So far Roaf is still retired, so Lets Talk Basketball!

With all those NFL teams just starting to sweat, lets take this opportunity to look back on that NBA draft and further developments since. The hometown Portland Blazers are continuing to develop a more dynamic young nucleus.
LaMarcus Aldridge was seen as the best rebounding big man taken in the NBA draft this year. He will be given time to develop his skills against the leagues' quality frontlines at a measured pace. Papers everywhere are saying the deal is all but signed with the Milwaukee Bucks for the services of Jamaal Magloire, that is all but official awaiting only team medical exams on Monday. This is yet another big win for the Trailblazers this off season. The team gets the services of an All Star center for three large chunks of team salary. Some other off season additions leave this team more powerful as well as quicker.
These recent moves have gotten the respect of much of the league. The team has yes, lowered their salary while at the same time have a larger younger frontline. They will be more coachable and have a fresh chemistry. Portland now sees they have mega trade options to deal that last ugly piece, the disgruntled Darius Miles, before the season starts. He wants to play anywhere ...but the River City.
So roll on front office, roll on... Lets make all our dreams come true!
