Another Day of Drama in River City

Well the city is waiting. In Portland Oregon today, as it will all be announced done. For Kansas and Big 12 basketball fans there is perhaps a developing twist. More will be revealed certainly. We wait.

While we wait. What concerns this writer and many midwest college basketball fans is that there is yet another story out there this morning. Foxsports reports cite certain "NBA GMs unnamed" sources that possibly tie LaMarcus Aldridge with Darious Miles in another deal, signaling a second trade to follow. More today? We wait.

(see the Foxsports link below for the whole piece including the Aldridge story)

Anyway meanwhile Jaamal Magliore, as reported all weekend, has been signed by the hometown Blazers. Yes, we've speculated that he would be the talk of hour on Mike Barrets radio show on KXL. (see streamcast info below 6pm PDT) However, this morning Barrets blog today speculates that the show today could/will contain an announcement that could make Trailblazer history! What? On two day old news? Huh? We can only guess. The 'Trademaster' GM Pritchard will be Barrets' radio guest and then will share the magic at that time. While we wait. We can all pray.

Please! Please! May it be Lord, may it be... that the newly aquired Magliore will be included in any deal with Miles. Remember, Miles has been a cancer, he has no intention of playing in Portland again despite his signed contract. It makes no sense to tie Adlridge with any deal, he has unknown potential at this point. Possibly Magliore... and a future second round draft pick to go WITH Miles... wherever ...would be a better fit. (He did at one time represent New Orleans in an All Star game a while back) Whatever the earthshaking news, I'll sure be listening today at 4pm CDT to the KXL stream below.
