Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen was charged with driving under the influence on Friday stemming from a traffic stop on Tuesday morning, according to a report on the Kansas City Star Web site.

Police in Leawood, Kan., pulled over Allen at around 1:30 a.m. for driving erratically. Leawood Police Capt. Dale Finger said Allen refused to take a field sobriety test or a breathalyzer. The officer arrested him for DUI, and in Kansas refusing to take the tests results in an automatic suspension of one's driver's license.

The officer drove Allen home. He has been ordered to appear in court on Oct. 25.

Tears your heart out right?
It does mine, and the Chiefs.
This is his 2nd DUII offense in 5 months.

A few pages down this blogsite:

I alluded the Bengals legal issues, search later please.
I thanked God for a team here in Kansas City that had a Moral Structure that reflected the fine midwest values that abound in the region. I apologize. I had no idea. This man just finished a diversion program from the last offense. He learned the dangers, legal, medical, emotional and spiritual of "problem drinkers". Maybe he will get some time to serve for this recent offense. The team will suffer even more for his lack of judgement and his inability to internalize the information, offered for his education after his last offense. God be with him. Pray for him please.

Chiefs D- find a way to roll on Sunday Afternoon, please!
