Whos the real Man In the House! (after)...the Chiefs Press Conference

Look I am Very Impressed with Tamba Hali. He is getting alot of respect from those he faces every week. He will get more. This is just a note to correct the record. According to ESPN and FOX sports, Check the links provided below.

Q: DE Tamba Hali saw a lot of double teams last week, does that surprise you at all that he’s getting that kind of respect?

EDWARDS: “No, they were watching film in the preseason. I’d double team him too. He had a pretty good day, he didn’t get the sacks, but he brought a lot of pressure and he’s very well in the run game. That’s what they’ve got to do; they’ve got to play the run first. They gashed us a couple of times and they broke a couple of runs, but for the most part we got after them pretty good and we’ve got to continue to do that. He got some notice.”

Q: He’s your leading tackler right now, are you surprised that a rookie is leading the team in tackles?

EDWARDS: “When you watched him in college that was the type of player that he was. He’s relentless, he’s a guy that chased people and could motor. What you saw on tape, people will say he doesn’t run a good 40-yard dash time, but he plays fast and you see a guy who knows how to get to the football. He is a guy who has made a lot of plays in two games already as a defensive lineman. He leads our team in tackles and he’s all over the place. That’s how he was in college and that’s why we drafted him. We said that this guy is a football player. I kept watching tape and in the fourth quarter the guy was playing the same way that he was in the first quarter. A guy like this, he’s a good football player and now all of a sudden he’s transferred that into our league. He’s done that in our league and that’s a compliment to him because he’s done a good job.”

Now.

You can see, (from the provided links) it is Jared Allen who is the man with the most tackles/assists on the Kansas City defensive roster. Not to take anything away at all from Tamba- we can all enjoy the friendly competition, all year long!
